From Locals to Vocals - Matthew Quinn

Matthew Quinn is a native of Westport Co.Mayo. He started to write poetry some years ago to challenge himself, and it has led to a place where light and darkness can exist.

He writes about personal things that matter to him and at times his pain and anguish are there for people to see, but it is not all above the dark side, there is humour to be found if you look hard enough.

Matthew likes to walk around Westport saying hello to all he meets and writing poems about the people who have helped shape his town and make it the everyone loves to visit.

Matthew hopes you enjoy his collection of poems and maybe, just maybe, feel a little of the emotion that helped create them.
